A cat scratcher that looks like Minesweeper. That's the whole pitch.
The board is woven in sisal, counters at the top, a little cat face in the middle, and a grid of numbers and bombs waiting to be stepped on.
Sisal is the part cats actually care about. It's rough, it holds up to real clawing, and it gives them somewhere to dig in that isn't your rug.
Lay it flat on the floor or mount it on the wall with the hook strips, whichever spot your cat has already claimed. Sprinkle a little of the included catnip on it the first few times and they'll work out what it's for.
Two red flags come with it, mounted on silvervine sticks. The same flags you'd plant on a suspected mine, except these get chewed, batted, and carried off somewhere.
Silvervine works on plenty of cats who ignore catnip entirely, so it's worth a try even if your cat has never cared about the green stuff.
At 28 x 38 cm it covers a decent patch of floor. Nobody has to start over.

- Sisal is a naturally coarse fiber, so the printed design may show slight variation in color or texture. This is normal and doesn't affect how the scratcher works.
